Who We Are
For 82 years, the Boys & Girls Club of South Georgia has provided the young people who need us most in our communities a place of safety, enrichment, and opportunity. Today, we serve over 1,000 children and teens daily across eight sites in Lowndes, Brooks, Lanier, and soon - Echols & Clinch Counties. Our doors are open each day after school and during the summer for children ages 5-18.

We believe every child deserves a safe place to learn and grow. At the Boys & Girls Club, we come alongside our community's families to provide just that: a space where our kids are
safe, loved, and learning every day. Our children are growing up in a complex world. At the Boys & Girls Club, kids are learning that good character and hard work open the door to a bright future.

The Boys & Girls Club is a nonprofit?
Yes! We are a nonprofit organization, and we work hard year-round to raise the funds needed to make this work possible. Much of that support is raised right here in the communities we serve, which means local businesses, families, donors, and people just like you are the real heroes behind our Clubs.
What are your hours?
During the school year, kiddos come to the Club as soon as their school day ends—typically around 2:30 PM—and stay until 6:30 PM. School buses in every county we serve bring Club members directly from school to us.
During the summer, hours vary by location, with some Clubs open for 10 full hours each day, from 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM.
How much does it cost for a child to come to the BGC?
Registration costs vary by Club location. Contact the site you’re interested in through our "Local Clubs" page, and their team will be happy to share the current registration rate and available spots!
Are there scholarships available?
Yes! Generous members of our community give specifically to help make Boys & Girls Club programs accessible to children who need them. Scholarships are available for both afterschool and summer programs and are awarded based on financial need.
What are some ways I can get involved?
If you'd like to support what we do here at the Boys & Girls Club, there are so many ways to help!
We gladly accept physical donations our Clubs can put to good use—items like LEGO sets, art supplies, games, sports equipment, school supplies, and other materials that help make our programs engaging and fun for kids.

Looking to get involved? There are so many ways to help at the Boys & Girls Club! Of course, your financial gift is completely transformative for our children as it provides meals, caring staff, transportation, and life-changing programming.
